Just some presentations that I've made in the last few years. Mostly something with regards to Open Source Software.

• Enemy at the Gate: Defending the email gateway with Sender Policy Framework (PDF, 159KB)
  Co-presented with Karel Rode at the ISG-Africa meeting of 26 April 2007, some basic SPAM stuff, outline of SPF and my view on it. My views on SPAM control always seem to shock people, I'm still not sure why. I try to give a rather broad outline of measures are currently being used, and drill-down slightly into SPF and CSA, and eventually come to a conclusion that'll surprise most people.
• ISSA 2004: Fortified Logger (PDF, 58KB)
  Presentation I presented in conjunction with the research paper entitled "An approach to building a fortified network logger that is resilient to cracking attempts", the paper was co-authored with Prof MS Olivier from the Computer Science department at the University of Pretoria.
• Garsfontein OS Presentation (PDF, 101KB)
  This is the slides for a presentation I presented at Garsfontein Hoërskool on the 17^th of August 2004. The topic was "Open Source", naturally.
